Vivant Event Rentals
We’ve been in the midst of a warehouse reorganization around here, and are highly aware of the fact that warehouse space isn’t just about square footage- it’s about what that square footage is actually earning you.
Over the last few weeks we’ve been making hard calls about inventory. If a piece isn’t renting, it’s not making money. And while it’s easy to hold onto things for that one event a year that might want the piece, or because your warehouse “feels full,” but a full warehouse isn’t the same as an efficient one.
We’ve parted ways with one-off colorful pieces, the couch that only booked once a year, and the items that were perfect for one client but don’t serve the broader collection. Classic, versatile pieces will always outperform trendy, colorful ones in real ROI.
It’s hard to let go of inventory you’ve invested in. But holding onto space that isn’t working for you costs more than the sentimental value is worth.
Watch this full episode for the real talk on “warehouse economics”... and find out what we had 60 of that we’re getting rid of.

There's a kind of elegance to a garden party, and we love how the Ava Bentwood chair carries that mood effortlessly. Its woven cane back and soft, neutral upholstery sit easily against greenery and florals. It's structured enough to anchor a table, and relaxed enough to feel like it belongs outdoors.
Seeing how pieces like this are used is why we love working with planners like . It was the perfect choice for this garden party wedding day at . 🤍

At-home and private estate weddings are their own category. There's no existing event infrastructure- you're building an event space from the ground up. Every element has to be brought in, built out, and designed to feel like it belonged there all along.
We live for that challenge.
For this stunning day with , we brought in chairs, bars, our luxury restroom trailer (), and so many details in between. Everything it took to make a family home feel as polished as any venue (including the teamwork and dedication too).

What happens when a planner brings us a venue with historical arches that are all different sizes, and asks us to solve the problem with a custom wall system? We get on a plane and go there to see it, measure it, and design it.
And then, we find out it’s expensive.
Here’s why: no two pieces are identical. Every measurement requires custom sizing, aka speciality materials. Specialty materials cost significantly more than standard inventory. And then there’s the fact that labor scales dramatically when you’re fabricating one-of-a-kind solutions.
We’re not looking for shortcuts. We’re sourcing from specialty shops and building something that’s never been built before. That’s real customization, and that’s the real investment.
