Streetleaf

Traditional streetlight components live underground. Ours don't.
Streetleaf batteries are mounted above ground as part of the pole assembly, not buried below it. That placement, combined with a long-lasting battery and efficient charging performance, means reliable performance even when ground conditions are compromised, like during flooding or storm surge.
It's a small design difference with a real impact in hurricane prone areas. Battery technology isn't the most exciting part of a streetlight, until it's the reason your lights are still on during an outage or storm.

Every Streetleaf streetlight starts with the sun.
The solar panel captures energy during the day and stores it in the battery for use after dark. Panel size, wattage, tilt angle, and orientation are selected using solar data to help ensure reliable performance in real-world conditions, not just on a spec sheet.
The result is consistent, dependable illumination night after night, powered entirely by renewable energy.
Our CEO, Liam Ryan, has helped build Streetleaf from the ground up, transforming a startup idea into the nation's leading provider of solar-powered streetlight services.
Thank you for six years of leadership, dedication, and commitment to our mission. Congratulations on this milestone, Liam!

Built for more than lighting. Built for resilience.
This week, we’re breaking down the anatomy of a Streetleaf solar streetlight and the technology designed to help communities stay illuminated during severe weather.
From durable aluminum poles to battery backup and high-efficiency solar panels, every component is engineered for reliability in storm-prone regions.
Stay tuned as we dive into each part of the system in upcoming weeks and explain how resilient lighting infrastructure is built for hurricane season.

Hurricane season has officially begun, and for communities across the Gulf Coast and Sunbelt, resilience is no longer optional. It’s infrastructure planning. At Streetleaf, we believe outdoor lighting should continue working when communities need it most. That’s why our solar-powered streetlights are engineered specifically for storm-prone regions with features designed to support safety, visibility, and reliability during severe weather events.
Unlike traditional streetlights that rely on underground wiring and the electrical grid, Streetleaf operates independently with built-in battery backup, off-grid power generation, and hurricane-rated infrastructure designed to withstand extreme conditions.
Over the next several weeks, we’ll be sharing more about:
• How solar streetlights perform during grid outages
• Hurricane-rated pole and foundation engineering
• Battery backup and autonomous operation
• Smart monitoring and proactive maintenance
• Why resilient infrastructure matters for growing communities
From Florida to Texas, communities are rethinking what preparedness looks like before the next storm arrives.
The season has started. The resilience conversation should too.
