Please keep an eye out around the Miller Creek Dr. and Cypress Village Blvd. area in Sun City Center.

This is where Darla was last spotted. A neighbor told us they believed a homeless man who had a tent set up nearby may have had her. We cannot confirm that information, but we wanted to share everything we’ve been told in case it helps. Since then, the police have removed the camp, and the man is no longer there.

Darla is a female Shar-Pei who is microchipped. When she went missing, she was wearing a light blue harness with “DARLA” printed on it in large letters.

I was out of the country and had left my sweet girl with pet sitters through Rover when she got away from them. I am absolutely heartbroken and just want to bring her home.

If you live nearby or are out walking in the area, would you please keep an eye out? Please check around the ponds, wooded areas, marshes, under porches, and anywhere a scared dog might hide.

Please don’t chase her if you see her, as she’ll likely run. If possible, take a photo or video from a distance and call or text me immediately with the exact location, time, and which direction she was headed. Even if you only think it might be her, I’d much rather check than miss a possible sighting.

Poodle puppies update!

Mama wanted nothing to do with the babies anymore as of about a week ago, so we separated the babies from mom and they have been having to be fed formula. Not sure if anyone else has noticed or tried ordering formula lately, but there’s a shortage so we’ve been having to order 3 cans at a time to be delivered to foster. They go through about 1 to 1 1/2 cans a day so we’re having a time keeping up with supply! They are starting slurry soon but so far we’ve spent $197.21 on just formula for this group.

Mama Jessie from our Toy Story crew got her spay abort this morning! We heard from neighbors she has possibly had 4 litters of kittens, the litter before this we got one kitten at 6 month sadly the other one was hit and killed. The other litters were nowhere to be found. We have her last and final litter!

What NOT to comment on a euthanasia post when we’re grieving the loss of an adult cat we tried everything to save, and never even considered the cost. Honestly, cost is never a factor to us. We figure it out. If you know our rescue you know that. If a cat wants to fight, we fight. If it’s their time, they tell us, and Shrimp made it clear she was ready for a peaceful passing.
