Happy Faschingsdienstag! 🍗🥞🥂🎈🎉🎊Pieter Bruegel's "Fight Between Carnival and Lent" is a fitting image for today, Karnevals- or Faschingsdienstag (Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras's Pancake Tuesday), when the carnival season comes to an end at midnight - as it does in all carnival regions of the world, including those of Germany and Austria.

Thank you to the instructors and faculty who came today to help at the German table during the Modern Languages and Linguistics' department Open House. Thank you to the students and alumni who visited us! Great turnout, over 60 entries alone for the trivia game! Raffle results will be announced soon, the answers to the trivia questions among the photos.
