The Alien Putter

Do you have a pre putt checklist? Ours.
1. Eyes over the ball.
2. Take away directly opposite your putting line.
3. Do not rush the swing. Just like a regular swing accelerate through the ball.
4. Watch the point of the ball you want to strike.
5. Follow through low towards the hole to finish.
6. Keep your head down. Yeah we know, but it helps us.

We've been experimenting with one length irons for a while now. The reasoning being if you're more accurate with your approach shots you'll make more putts. We love the increased accuracy with the short irons. We don't like the loss of distance with the longer irons. It's a trade off. If you don't hit your long irons very well anyway maybe one length is worth a try?

Why Do We Call It The Alien? When we first started work on the Alien it had a fairly "other worldly" look about it, hence the name Alien. Our first choice for a company tagline was "It looks a little weird". Seriously. But as the Alien evolved a strange thing happened, a lot of putters on the market went full "Other Worldly". We don't look so weird anymore. We kept the name.
