Liberating Jasper

Liberating Jasper is a weight-inclusive behavioral health agency located in Tacoma, WA serving clients residing in Washington state. Our organization was the first of its kind to be founded by a team of Certified Body Trust® Providers.

We offer healing opportunities for anyone on the spectrum of disordered eating and body distress. Such opportunities include weekly virtual support groups for adults, outpatient mental health therapy, and outpatient nutrition counseling.

We take many major insurance plans. We also offer sliding scale rates from $110-$175 per session and sessions with an intern therapist supervised by our clinical director, Colleen Young, ranging from $45-$75 per session.

Our care model is rooted in the Health at Every Size® framework, an alternative to the weight-centric approach characteristic of most current medical models. We believe in and advocate for health equity, addressing anti-fat bias, and improved access to care regardless of anyone’s size.

Exciting Announcement! Group Consult Starting in May

This 6-week virtual group is open to all providers who work with the spectrum of disordered eating from a body liberation lens. Co-facilitated by Liberating Jasper founders and Certified Body Trust® Providers Maggie Mills and Colleen Young. This interdisciplinary group is open to nutrition and mental health professionals, coaches, peer support specialists and others working in the body liberation field.

Group participants will:

- Gain valuable insights from diverse perspectives

- Foster connections with like-minded professionals

- Acquire practical tools to support clients effectively

- Deepen your understanding of body liberation

- Explore and unpack internalized biases that can impact your work with clients

WHEN: Mondays beginning May 6 through June 10 from 12-1:30 PST
