The Teknical Methodz Instructor Development Program is an intensive two-day course designed for current or aspiring fi****ms instructors seeking to enhance their knowledge, shooting performance, and instructional capabilities with pistol mounted red dot optics. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of red dot sight systems, including optic selection, mounting considerations, zeroing procedures, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Participants will develop advanced skills for presenting, coaching, and evaluating red dot equipped shooters through a structured progression of instruction and practical range exercises. Emphasis is placed on draw techniques, dot acquisition, target acquisition, speed, accuracy, visual processing, recoil management, movement, accuracy standards, and diagnosing common shooter errors associated with red dot use.

Instructors will learn proven methods for integrating red dot optics into existing handgun training programs and will gain tools for teaching both new and experienced shooters. The course also addresses lesson plan development, instructor demonstrations, coaching techniques, performance assessment, and risk management considerations. By the end of the program, successful participants will demonstrate proficiency with pistol mounted red dot systems and the ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor students in their use.
