We’re proud to share that our project has been recognized with an Owner Collaboration Award at the 2026 Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Rochester Awards, held on May 7. The new Interventional Radiology (IR) suite at Upstate Community Hospital transforms underutilized space into a sophisticated, image-guided procedural center.

Strong collaboration between the Owner and Designer was key to the success of the project. Dwyer worked closely with SUNY Upstate Medical University to bring this Interventional Radiology Suite into reality within an active 50-year-old hospital in Syracuse, NY. This project brings highly specialized IR services directly to the local community: improving access to care while enhancing patient outcomes. By strategically phasing work, the project was delivered on budget and ahead of schedule!
