Every business owner is asking me the same question right now. Can AI just replace a virtual assistant? Here is my honest answer.
No. And I want to explain why, because I think this matters more than people realize.
AI can draft an email. It can summarize a meeting. It can generate emails, answer questions and pull information quickly. Those are genuinely useful things and I have nothing against using good tools.
But AI cannot know that your most important client prefers a phone call over an email. It cannot notice that you seem overwhelmed this week and quietly adjust your priorities without being asked. It cannot ask the right question at the right moment because it has learned how you think and what you value. It cannot build a relationship with you over time that earns real trust.
A great virtual assistant does not just execute tasks. She thinks. She anticipates. She cares about the outcome because she genuinely cares about you and your business. That is not something you can automate.
AI is a tool. A virtual assistant is a partner. Those are not the same thing, and they never will be.

I want you to stop for a second and answer this question honestly. What would you do with 10 hours back in your week?
Ten hours is roughly how much time the average business owner spends each week on administrative tasks that could be handled by someone else. Emails. Scheduling. Follow-ups. Invoice tracking. Data entry. The behind-the-scenes work that never stops and never gets fully done.
Would you finally finish that proposal that has been sitting in your drafts? Would you reach out to that referral partner you have been meaning to connect with? Would you spend more time with the clients who need your attention most? Would you finally take a breath for the first time in months?
Most business owners I talk to know exactly what they would do. The vision is there. The goals are there. The time is not. And that is not a discipline problem. That is a support problem.
Admin-On-Call, LLC exists for this exact moment. When you are ready to stop giving your best hours to tasks that were never meant to be yours, we are here. Visit adminoncallny.com.

Some people serve their country and then come home and serve their community just as faithfully. Jezebel McIntosh is one of those people.
Jezebel is a United States Army veteran who enlisted and served from 1999 to 2005, reaching the rank of Sergeant E-5. During her service she earned the Army Achievements Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Army Good Conduct Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon, among other honors.
Born in New York and raised in Brooklyn, Jezebel relocated to Syracuse and went on to earn an associate degree from Onondaga Community College, where she made the Provost's List. She has been an active, devoted member of the Syracuse community for over 33 years, pouring into the people around her with quiet, consistent love.
This year, Jezebel McIntosh was selected as a 2026 Veterans Hall of Fame Inductee by Senator Rachel May. She deserves every bit of that recognition and more.
What moves me most about Jezebel is this: her work has always been rooted in compassion, integrity, and a deep belief in the power of showing up. That is a standard that inspires me every single day.
Jezebel, congratulations. Thank you for your service to this country and your continued service to this community. You are so deserving of this honor.

You spend hours every week on something that was never supposed to be your job.
Think about what scheduling actually costs you. You sent the initial email. Then came the back and forth. Someone could not do Tuesday. Someone else needed to reschedule. You sent a calendar link. Then you had to follow up because they never confirmed. By the time the meeting was on the books, you had spent 45 minutes on something unrelated to your actual work.
Now multiply that across every meeting, every week. That is hours of your time going to a task that does not require your expertise, your relationships, or your vision. It just requires someone consistent and organized, which is exactly what a great executive assistant provides.
Calendar management and scheduling is one of the very first things a business owner should hand off. Not because it is beneath you, but because your time is too valuable to keep spending it this way.
Admin-On-Call, LLC handles scheduling, coordination, and follow-up so you can stay focused on what you actually built this business to do. Visit adminoncallny.com to learn more.
