A huge congratulations to the 35 incredible graduates of our OCM BOCES Virtual Learning Academy! 🎓🎉

Taking ownership of your education through the Virtual Learning Academy requires a unique kind of self-discipline, and grit.

This program is a perfect example of why OCM BOCES is . It’s about opening doors and creating pathways to graduation that accommodate all learners.

Congratulations to the 12 OCM BOCES graduates of Seven Valleys New Tech Academy in Cortland! 👏🎓

Last night’s commencement ceremony at the OCM BOCES Cortlandville Campus was filled with applause as family members, friends, staff and other supporters gathered to honor this special class of graduates.

Three students were recognized with special awards:

• Megan Marks of the Cortland Enlarged City School District received a scholarship from the OCM BOCES Federation of Teachers, presented by OCM BOCES Innovative Education Director Emily Behan.

• Desiree Hurd of the Homer Central School District received the Cortland Breakfast Rotary Scholarship, presented by Rotary President Mark Roberts.

• Serenity Wolf of the Cortland Enlarged City School District, who also served as the student speaker, received the New Tech Scholarship from OCM BOCES Board of Education President Robert Crabtree. Established in 2017, the scholarship supports a New Tech student who is continuing their education after graduation.

OCM BOCES is proud to congratulate all of our Seven Valleys graduates! Thank you for being an important part of the Seven Valleys story. As you move forward, please remember that you have the skills and knowledge to pursue your goals and make a positive impact wherever life leads you. We are cheering for you!

These remarkable students have demonstrated dedication, resilience and perseverance throughout their educational journey, culminating in this unforgettable milestone. A special shout-out goes to Jameson Ryan Virginia of the Baldwinsville Central School District, who was presented with the program’s “Spirit Award” for consistently demonstrating the "characteristics of integrity, perseverance, kindness and dedication to their high school community.”
