I had the pleasure of meeting this 1890 Weber upright for the first time. It's 90% original inside and out.
I cleaned it out of decades of dust and gave it a tuning. It's up to modern pitch and plays fairly well. It's been in the same family since new!

The room was filled with a timeless melody as the 101-year-old man, his frail fingers gliding effortlessly across the keys of the console piano, breathed life into a perfect tune. Despite his age, his posture was upright, and his hands moved with a precision that belied the century he had lived through. His weathered face, marked with deep lines of wisdom and experience, softened as he lost himself in the music, his eyes twinkling like those of a young dreamer.
