It took an unacceptable 15 hours for the Cazenovia Board of Education to announce the resignation of its scandal-ridden vice president. I have informed the board president and superintendent of my transparency concerns.

NEW: State regulators have issued a statement ahead of the Jowonio School’s reopening this morning.

“The Office of Children and Family Services puts the safety and well-being of every New York child first, which is why we moved to suspend the child care license of the Jowonio School due to severe violations of child care safety regulations. After working with the center on a settlement that requires intensive staff training, revised supervision policies, and a civil fine we have reached an agreement with the center that allows them to lift their suspension and re-open.”
