As mention Chuck has been honored with being apart of the supreme champion committee for quite sometime. Looking forward to seeing these spotlights on the New York PDCA Purebred Dairy Cattle Association page!!! And a good luck and safe travels to all the 2023 exhibitors 🍀

The Waterman family has been presenting The Taryn Ashley Waterman Memorial Trophy for over 20 years at the New York State Fair in honor of their daughter Taryn who was tragically killed in a car accident when she was 10 years old.

Dr. Doug Waterman along with a committee compromised of a representative from each breed make a selection from each breeds Grand Champion. The rotating trophy and award is presented on the last Sunday of the New York State Fair. The committee has had members come and go however currently after speaking with Doug he shared that Jim Curtis is one of the original members to this date! With the next being Charles Luchsinger.
