Repot a Dionea muscipula AKA The Venus Flytrap with me! And also learn some cool facts about this plant:

Did you know that the Venus Flytrap is native to the East Coast of the United States?! That’s right!! It is found right here, close to home, in North and South Carolina. Eating mainly insects and arachnids 🕷, it traps it’s prey inside it’s double lobed leaves (lovingly called ‘Flytraps’) when it’s trigger hairs are activated.

Although this beautiful plant is widely cultivated, it is listed as an Endangered Species by the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service. To learn more about how you can protect endangered plants check out endangered.org.
