This week is Veterinary Receptionist Week, and we are celebrating Alexis, Colleen, Lauren, and Liz for all the amazing work they do. The phones never stop ringing, the emails and text messages never stop coming, and the 4 of them never stop working. From managing the calendar, answering questions, reviewing medications and instructions, to helping during emotional times, these are the individuals who keep things running and make sure every call is heard. The job of a receptionist isn't easy. In fact, it is emotionally and mentally draining, but our team does their job with poise, dedication, and compassion.

If you've ever been helped by Alexis, Colleen, Lauren and/or Liz, this week is a great time to let them know how much it meant to you. We know we would not be able to do what we do without them.

Today we congratulate Christina as she celebrates her 25 year workiversary at Syosset Animal Hospital!

As our head licensed technician, Christina's dedication, compassion, reliability, dependability, and knowledge have been invaluable to our practice. Her ability to communicate as well as develop and train staff members as the hospital supervisor has enabled us to stay true to our mission of providing high quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Lasting 25 years in anything is quite an accomplishment. Lasting 25 years in a field known for its high turnover rate and burnout rate, and to do so in the same hospital is practically unheard of. We know how extremely lucky we are to have her as part of our staff. We see what she does day in and day out. You should know how lucky you are to have her as part of your beloved pets' medical team.
