This special 1 of 3 RS7 came by for some repairs and maintenance, here’s what we did:
•Cylinder 1 and multiple misfire issue⚡️-
Fix: Brand new NGK spark plugs
•Window glass break sensor & AM/FM/GPS Antenna open circuit⚡️
Cause: these codes popped up shortly after getting windows tinted, this was a result of the tint installers not being careful which lead them to break the connectors off the glass.
Fix: I was able to add a good amount of solder to essentially “rebuild” the pad on the glass to reconnect the sensor and antenna.
Additionally we replaced 2 of the 3 map sensors due to permanent fault codes which we believed was possibly caused from running meth💦

What we learned here is that if you are going to replace your driveshaft, it’s likely best to go with oem. This aftermarket driveshaft was installed December 2022, failed 2 months later and this is what it looks like 6 months after that. I’m not sure what happened here but whatever did wasn’t good. Previous installer didn’t install a clamp around the boot to the spline shaft which could have added some contribution to this.
Only 2 weeks ago I pumped this joint full of grease to help get the customer by in the meantime and as you can see ALL the grease is gone and nothing left but rust. Unbelievable and never saw anything like it 🫣
The good news, the customer has a brand new OEM driveshaft with 0 miles AND we installed his driveshaft carrier for the smoothest experience 😎 I gotta say I did feel pretty bad chatting the carrier off this brand new one 🤣
