The modern workplace is evolving, and outdoor amenity spaces are becoming one of the most valuable investments commercial properties can make.

It was a privilege to contribute to the new rooftop amenity space at One Financial Center in Boston—a destination designed to bring people together. Whether it’s an informal meeting, lunch outdoors, or simply a place to recharge, thoughtfully designed outdoor environments enhance the workplace experience in meaningful ways.

A defining feature of this project is the integrated lighting design. By incorporating our Trax2 extrusion system throughout the pergola framing and extending it across the surrounding building wall surfaces, we created a continuous architectural lighting experience that transforms the space after sunset. The result is a clean ribbon of light that enhances the structure, adds depth to the architecture, and creates a welcoming atmosphere long after daylight fades.

We teamed up with Landscape Architects to bring a fully outfitted pergola to the lawn at Rosecliff for this year's Pearls of Newport — motorized louvers, retractable glass walls and coastal views that did half the work for us.
