TRAFFIC ALERT FOR FIREWORKS on JULY 3rd, 2026
ROAD CLOSURES will go into effect on July 3rd beginning at 6:00PM:
- Humphrey St. (from Eastern Ave at Lynn line to Redington St.)
- ALL of Monument Ave.
- Burrill St from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- Elmwood Rd. from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- ALL of Shaw Rd.
- ALL of Andrew Rd.
- ALL of Thomas Rd.
- ALL Hardy Rd.
PARKING RESTRICTIONS will go into effect July 3rd beginning at 2:00PM. There will be NO PARKING ON BOTH SIDES – please adhere to the temporary signage.
- Humphrey St. (from Eastern Ave/Lynn line to Redington St.)

- Burrill St from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- Elmwood Rd. from Monument Ave. to Paradise Rd.
- ALL of Redington St.
- ALL of Sheridan Rd.

- Portions of Walker Rd.
- Farragut Rd. from Ellis Rd. to Walker Rd.
Vehicles that remain parked on the streets after 2:00PM on July 3rd are subject to be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
- Handicap parking will be available at the Hadley School lot on Redington St., with limited availability.
- Public parking will be available at Phillips Park/Football Field, with limited availability.
Large crowds are expected, so if you come as a family, please take the time to talk to your children about safety and create a plan if you become separated.
The Swampscott Police Department wants everyone to have a fun, safe, and enjoyable evening.

Today is Ofc. Nathaniel Espinal’s first official day at the Swampscott Police Department!

Ofc. Espinal officially signed the Register and was sworn in by Town Clerk Katie DuPont. Ofc. Espinal begins a rigorous 16 week field training program after having graduated from the Lynnfield MPTC 8th ROC this past Monday.
