Made for B230s, the Redblockpowered Beehive valve spring package saves almost twenty grams per valve improving valvetrain stability and RPM capability. Spring pressures are not terribly high making these a good upgrade for stock or close to stock RPM limits (less than ~7000 rpm or so).

Available in high and low lift form, and includes retainers.

Two installed heights available: 37.5 mm and 36.4 mm. The latter offers slightly more seat pressure at the cost of total available valve lift. Beehive springs should be shimmed to as close to bind + 1 mm (for clearance) as possible for optimum performance.

Spring force:
62 lbs @ 37.5 mm
160 lbs @ 25.5 mm

Bind height: 23.9 mm

Redblockpowered is now FIVE YEARS OLD (and two weeks. oops)

Five years (and two weeks) ago, having been downsized from my job washing cars, I started a forum thread selling the tune from my own car, which at the time was basically stock. It was between semesters and I needed to cover expenses (mostly burritos and car insurance) and this was about the most marketable skill I had.

I was shocked to find basically immediate interest on Turbobricks, and lots of positive feedback thereafter. I packed stuff wrapped in packing tape (stupid idea) and full of printer paper (surprisingly adequate idea). Every step of the way basically I've been rewarded by the community for trying harder.

Five years on sometimes I look up a question I have about my car and find myself, or see screenshots of my website or information my dad and I found getting shared around, even on sites that aren't in English. I don't have an exact number but between Volvos and Saabs there are ~350 sets of chips out there, and lots of other things along the way.
