Some families are built by birth. Others are built by showing up.

The Word family just finalized their second kinship adoption, and if these photos tell you anything, it's that they don't do anything halfway.
From the matching WORD UP tees (yes, even the littles 🥹), to a pastor who showed up to court, not just church, to friends and family who packed those stairs like it was the most important day of the year... because it was.

Here's something we don't talk about enough: deep, hard, life-changing things can still have humor in them. See the cheesy pose picture. You know the one. 😂

Grief and joy. Hard days and silly photos. Courtrooms and HydroJugs engraved with your name on them. It all gets to exist together and honestly, that's what makes a real family. The Word family invests in people. Not just with words, but with presence, paperwork, patience, and periwinkle blue tumblers. We are so honored to be a part of moments like this.
