Registration for Myrtle Beach's youth softball and baseball programs opens next Saturday, July 11! Enroll your young athletes ages four to 15 for boys or 16 for girls on a recreational team. Play teaches the fundamentals and techniques of the sport.

Practices and games are held at Grand Park Athletic Complex, 1011 Crabtree Lane starting mid-August. The practice and game schedules will be sent to parents at a later date. The age groups are as follows:

- Baseball ages 4-6 (boys and girls)
- Baseball ages 6-8 (boys and girls)
- Baseball ages 9-10 (boys)
- Baseball ages 11-12 (boys)
- Baseball ages 13-15 (boys)
- Softball ages 8-10 (girls)
- Softball ages 11-12 (girls)
- Softball ages 13-16 (girls)

Registration is $35 for city residents or $60 for non-city residents, per child. A skills combine will be held before the season starts to assess players' skill levels.
