We are thrilled to announce that our School of Hire has received a generous $10,000 grant from Publix Super Markets Charities. School of Hire is our specialized transition program for incredible young adults with disabilities. This funding will directly power our community-focused curriculum, helping these motivated individuals take their next big steps toward adulthood through:

Independent Living Skills: Building the confidence and practical tools to navigate the world safely and autonomously.

Community-Based Employment Practice: Gaining real-world work experience and developing skills for meaningful, long-term careers.

Camp ABLE + Water Day = a fun afternoon! 🌈🪣 Campers had a great time cooling off, playing water games, and making memories together.

Did you know programs like Camp ABLE are funded in part by the Children’s Services Council of Broward County? CSC invests a small portion of local property tax dollars in programs that help children grow up healthy, safe, and ready to succeed.

Business Advisory Council Member Spotlight

Meet Tracy Denis, Community Development Officer at BankUnited and a valued member of Arc Broward's Business Advisory Council.

In her role at BankUnited, Tracy partners with nonprofits and community organizations to support affordable housing, economic growth, and greater access to financial resources that help communities thrive.

Tracy joined the Business Advisory Council because she believes everyone deserves the opportunity to build a meaningful career in an inclusive workplace. Her passion is deeply personal and inspired by her cousin, Darline, whose resilience and determination have shown her the importance of recognizing people for their abilities, not their limitations.

"Everyone brings unique abilities to the table, and individuals with disabilities are no different. They're not defined by limitations; they're defined by their strengths. As employers, we have the opportunity to recognize those strengths, support them, and grow stronger because of it."

Through Arc Works, Tracy sees firsthand how businesses and talented job seekers come together to create lasting opportunities that strengthen our entire community.
