The inquiry into the origin of the name Cadillac Jack has been posed. In 1997, our band resided in a large house off The Alameda in San Jose, where the four-car garage served as our rehearsal room. With Mojos Rose, our first band, dissolving, the new configuration sought to devise a distinct name. We considered multiple options, including initials, until a band member exclaimed 'Cracker Jack!' Following laughter and deliberation, another member proposed 'Cadillac Jack.' Although the contributor of this suggestion remains unknown, the name has persisted for nearly 30 years, effectively branding our identity. It is noteworthy that our research revealed at least two other bands across the United States sharing our name.
