We started on this beautiful home earlier this week.
Popcorn texture removal is the first step of the process.
We covered and protected the stone and wood work. Sanded off the popcorn using a drywall sander connected to our Festool dust extractor with a HEPA filter. Oil primed everything to give a good base for everything to stick to. And then skim coated the entire surface with drywall mud to give a level 5 finish!
Pretty labor intensive, holding that drywall sander over head kicked my butt! But we persevered and got it done.

A lot more to come on this project, you won't want to miss the rest of this one!

Follow up post regarding our recent project...
Did a bunch of work in a local private school this past week. 3rd shift while the building was empty, we painted 7 different areas. Out of respect for the school and students, we won't be posting many photos from the job.
But take a look at these bathroom stall dividers!
From dingy, dirty and rusty.
To sealed up, clean, fresh and durable!

We used a rust inhibitor primer to prevent it from spreading. And then two coats of PreCat Waterbased Epoxy over the top.

As always, big thanks to Sherwin-Williams Sun Prairie store for supplying us with the best products on the market!

Not every job is glamorous, but the show must go on!
Getting these divider/partitions cleaned up.
Clean them, sand them, Kem Kromik on the rust to help stop it from progressing, and 2 coats of Pre Cat Epoxy to top them off.

I'll have photos of the finished product in a couple days!
