⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING: SWEARING ⚠️
This s**t is seriously pi***ng me off.
The construction has completely blocked access to my front entrance and the sidewalk alongside the building, and it's absolutely killing my business. Small businesses are expected to just absorb the loss while the city benefits from these projects, and that is not right. There should be some kind of stipend or compensation for businesses losing income because customers literally can't get to us. The phone calls asking if we are open, or people just not coming in because they cant walk to get there... ugh. It's so frustrating.
I moved the barricades shown in these photos because they were blocking pedestrian access. I do not have a back entrance. The sidewalks are the only way customers can safely access my front door.
I'm all for improvements, but businesses shouldn't have to suffer because access to their storefront is being treated like an afterthought.
If you've been meaning to stop by, please know we're OPEN! You can get in now because I moved what was blocking the walkway.
There is a PARKING LOT BEHIND THE BUILDING. I REPEAT, THERE IS A PARKING LOT BEHIND THE BUILDING.

✨ CLIENT SPOTLIGHT ✨
Shared with permission, obviously. Lol.
TRIGGER WARNING: ARMPIT - INVERTED PSORIASIS.
These before-and-after photos showcase one client's journey using a customized essential oil blend as part of their skincare routine. And honestly, it allowed me an opportunity to get back to what I used to do that started this entire journey 15 years ago!
This client came to me looking for a natural option to support skin comfort and appearance. After consistent use, they experienced significant visible improvement and were excited to share their results! And I am also equally excited! This was about 6 weeks!
Every person's skin is unique, and results will vary. What works for one individual may not work the same way for another. This post is intended to share one client's personal experience and is not intended as medical advice.
Nature offers many tools and sometimes finding the right one can make all the difference! Used fractionated coconut oil, natural lotion and a mix of the NOW brand essential oils. And I swear by this brand! Been using them for a reason for 15 years! I also sell them at the shop. If you are interested in skincare to incorporate into your daily life, hit me up!

✨️ Chapter 11: Dancing in the Rain ✨️
I've been in a state of low lately...
The kind of low that settles into your bones and makes everything feel heavier than it should. The kind that lingers no matter how many distractions you throw at it. The kind that leaves you wishing you could simply wash it away.
Yesterday, the sky opened.
Rain poured from the heavens in thick sheets, drumming against rooftops and pavement. Most people rushed for cover, but something inside me stirred. Without thinking, I grabbed Ella by the hand and yanked her outside.
We ran. We danced. We twirled and splashed through puddles. We screamed and laughed until our sides hurt. Water soaked through our clothes and dripped from our hair. For a little while, there was no sadness. No overthinking. No responsibilities. Just joy. Pure, uninhibited joy.
Then something unexpected happened.
I stopped.
The laughter faded into the background as I stood still in the downpour. I spread my arms wide and lifted my face toward the sky. Rain struck my skin like a thousand tiny blessings.
And I asked, with tears in my eyes that were perfectly hidden from Ella... I asked for the sadness to be cleansed from me. I asked for clarity. I asked for peace. I asked for anything that would help lighten the weight I had been carrying.
As if in response, the rain poured harder. The drops felt colder and heavier, washing over my face, my shoulders, my chest. I closed my eyes and simply stood there. I took a big deep breath in and let it all out.
For a brief moment, I felt calm. Not healed. Not fixed. But calm. Sometimes that is enough. Sometimes spiritual cleansing is not about removing every burden. Sometimes it is simply about creating enough space to breathe again.
🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧
Rain has long been viewed as a symbol of purification. Across cultures and spiritual traditions, water is associated with renewal, healing, and transformation. Rivers cleanse. Oceans restore. Sacred baths purify. Rain, perhaps, is nature's most accessible blessing.
It asks nothing of us. It falls on everyone equally. It reminds us that everything moves in cycles.
Storms come. Storms pass. The earth drinks deeply and grows. So do we.
There is something profoundly healing about surrendering to the rain. We spend so much of our lives trying to control our circumstances, our emotions, and our outcomes. Yet standing beneath a storm requires surrender. You cannot stop the rain. You cannot direct it. You can only experience it.
And perhaps that is where the magic lies. Not in controlling life. But in allowing ourselves to feel it.

A Rain Dance Cleansing Ritual
The next time rain begins to fall and conditions are safe, consider stepping outside for a few moments.
Before you do, take a deep breath and set an intention.
Ask yourself:
"What am I ready to release?"
Maybe it is sadness. Maybe it is anger. Maybe it is anxiety, self-doubt, grief, or exhaustion.
Step into the rain.
Walk slowly at first and feel the drops land on your skin. Imagine each drop carrying away a little bit of the heaviness you have been holding.
Then move, dance, spin, jump in puddles, lift your arms, laugh... Let yourself be ridiculous. Let yourself be free.
As you move, repeat:
"I release what no longer serves me."
"I welcome clarity and peace."
"I trust the storm to carry away what I cannot hold."
When you feel complete, stand still. Lift your face toward the sky. Close your eyes. Take several deep breaths (try not to waterboard yourself lol). Offer gratitude for the rain, for the lesson, and for yourself.
When you return indoors, dry off and drink a warm cup of tea. Spend a few moments journaling anything that surfaced during your experience.
You may be surprised by what the storm reveals.
✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Why It Works
Part of the power is spiritual, part of the power is psychological, and part of the power is simply remembering how to play.
As children, many of us danced in the rain without hesitation. We weren't worried about appearances or responsibilities. We experienced the world fully. Somewhere along the way, many of us forgot how.
Playing in the rain interrupts the constant stream of thoughts racing through our minds. It pulls us into the present moment. The cool water awakens our senses. The movement shifts stagnant energy. Laughter loosens emotional tension.
For a little while, there is only you and the storm.
No past. No future. Just now.
And then sometimes "now" is exactly where healing begins. So the next time the clouds gather and the sky opens, don't always rush for shelter. Maybe step outside. Maybe dance, maybe let the rain remind you that even the heaviest storms eventually pass.
And who knows?
You might just find a little clarity hidden among the raindrops.
✨️🌧✨️🌧✨️🌧✨️
Reflection, baby!!
When was the last time you played in the rain?
Not walked through it, not ran to your car, not hid beneath an umbrella... When was the last time you truly played in it?
Perhaps the better question is this:
What would happen if you did? 😘
