I can thank my auction pal Homer Evenstad for goading me into this buy. Yesterday we traversed the DeForest roundabout trifecta to the Kwik trip. Fitting in well with the mares and not surprisingly, not so much with the geldings.

Dear friends, family and colleagues. One of my hard working "children" needs our help. The foal pictured with my son is Capt. Jack a/k/a Cooper, a proud member of the Madison Mounted Horse Patrol unit. He had to have surgery for colon displacement on Monday. He remains in critical condition with a guarded prognosis. The Friends of Madison Mounted Horse Patrol have established the Go Fund Me Page below. Please support the Good Captain by sharing. He is a beloved member of his law enforcement family. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his law enforcement family. Let's bail this big fella out of his "cell" and bring him back to the farm in one piece.
