Special Forces Motorcycle Riders in SC

We’ve finally got the first trip routed out!
We’ll start from home and ride to Conway, Arkansas, driving this leg straight through — about an 800-mile day. This will stage us for riding the Pig Trail Scenic Byway.
From there we’ll ride the Pig Trail Scenic Byway north to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, then head on to the Blue Whale in Oklahoma, just outside Tulsa. After that we’ll continue to the Flint Hills in Kansas to ride the scenic roads outside Council Grove, finishing the day at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Next we’re off to Colorado to ride the Million Dollar Highway, stopping before it for the night. After riding the Million Dollar Highway, we’ll continue to Arches National Park in Utah, then on to Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. We’re not sure yet if we’ll do all three parks in one day or spread them out.
From there we’ll head to Hiko, Nevada to ride the Extraterrestrial Highway, then continue to Las Vegas and Hoover Dam, spending the night in Vegas.
Next stop is Sequoia National Park, then somewhere along the way before Yosemite National Park.
After that we’ll take two days heading north to Salem, Oregon and Kent, Washington.
Then it’s on to Bozeman, Montana. We rode the Beartooth Highway last year, but if time permits we’ll ride it again.
From there we’ll visit the Little Bighorn Battlefield and then head to Sheridan, Wyoming.
Next stop is Devils Tower, then on to Rapid City, South Dakota.
We’ll spend 4–6 days in the Rapid City area exploring:
Mount Rushmore
Crazy Horse / Chief Sitting Bull area
Needles Highway
The Black Hills
Spearfish Canyon
Sturgis
Deadwood
The Badlands
Wall Drug
Iron Mountain Road
After that we’ll stop at the Dignity of Earth and Sky monument in Chamberlain, South Dakota.
Then it’s on to Fargo, North Dakota, across Minnesota, and over to Oshkosh, Wisconsin to spend a few days fishing and visiting friends and family.
From there we’ll head down to ride The Snake between Bristol, Virginia and Mountain City, Tennessee.
Then it’s back to the Casa!
The map doesn’t show all the side trips and running around, but we’re estimating the trip will be close to 8,500 miles.
