Before anything gets built, we model it.

This was a small mansard hip roof where we were hired for delegated design of the light-gauge truss system. Modeling it in Revit helped us:

Spot tricky bearing and alignment issues early

Coordinate cleanly with other disciplines

Provide clarity before the trusses were ever fabricated

Our client was responsible for fabrication and install — trusses, connections, bracing, and roof sheathing — but we helped make it smoother by building it twice: first in Revit.

We’re excited to welcome Peter Vipperman to the Rival Design Build team as our Engineering & Construction Management Intern!

Peter is currently studying Construction Engineering at The Citadel, and he’s bringing strong discipline, attention to detail, and a growing passion for building smart, efficient structures. During his time with us, Peter will gain hands-on experience in project coordination, site management, and real-world applications of engineering principles.

We’re proud to support the next generation of industry leaders, and we’re thrilled to have Peter on board this summer!
