In anticipation of this weekend’s weather, transit services will operate on a delayed schedule on Monday, January 26, 2026. Service will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Please be advised that the SWRTA offices will be closed and all services will be suspended on the following days in observance of the holiday season:

Thursday, December 25, 2025
Thursday, January 1, 2026

Additionally, SWRTA will operate on a reduced schedule on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The following routes will not operate on those days:

Route 40 | North Main | 5:00pm
Route 44 | Sumter SmartRide | 2:45pm
Route 52 | 521 Express | 4:00pm, 5:00pm, 6:00pm
Route 80 | Voc Rehab | 4:10pm
Route 90 | Broad Street | 4:10pm and 5:10pm

We will operate on regular schedule on December 26th and January 2nd.

We encourage you to plan ahead and make alternative travel arrangements as needed.

It’s cold but our operators are out making sure the vehicles are nice and warm!

As of 9:00 a.m., we are running as scheduled.

Due to the conditions of the roads, we may experience some delays in our travel, so please be patient with us as we safely make our way.

Sumter SmartRide 2:45pm | Route 44
North Main Route 5:10pm | Route 40
