❄️🥶 Freezin’ for a Reason! 🥶❄️

Today members of Summit PBA Local 55 took the plunge at the Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside Heights to support the incredible athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey.

Braving the cold Atlantic waters was worth every second — thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over $2,000 to help provide year-round sports training, competition, and opportunities for thousands of athletes across the state. 

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated, supported, and cheered us on. Your support makes a real difference!

Together we proved that even on the coldest days, our community has the biggest hearts. 💙

A new tradition is teeing off this spring! Join Summit PBA Local #55 for our 1st Annual Summit PBA Golf Classic on Monday, May 11 at the prestigious Watchung Valley Golf Club.

This exciting day on the course is all about bringing the Summit community and our police officers together while raising vital funds to support Summit Police officers and their families.

🏌️‍♂️ Registration includes:
• 18 holes of golf
• Lunch
• Cocktail hour
• Dinner & open bar
• Door prize for every golfer
• Raffles & auction items

A portion of proceeds will benefit the New Jersey State PBA Survivor and Welfare Fund, helping families of officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and those facing hardship.

Today, we pause to honor the 2,403 American lives lost and the countless heroes who answered the call during one of our nation’s darkest moments. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to duty will never be forgotten.

As we reflect on this solemn day, Summit PBA Local 55 stands united in gratitude for the bravery of the Greatest Generation and for all who continue to serve and protect our nation.

May we always remember. May we never forget.

Local 55 would like to recognize some recent movement and appointments to our union. In the past two months, Darin Sliker was sworn in as Vice President after VP Ruddy Garita’s resignation due to his promotion to the rank of Sergeant. Anthony Pyzik was sworn in as treasurer, taking over for VP Sliker and Ivan Garcia was sworn in as a new member of the local. We congratulate all of you in your new positions and wish you good luck ! We also thank VP Garita for his service to local 55 and wish him good luck in his new position.
