Meet local artist Tracey Luckner. We are thrilled to share some of her incredible pieces with you. They look so good in our shop though that we might have a hard time letting them go!
Let’s get to know Tracey:
My paintings explore the space between abstraction and landscape. Through expressive
brushstrokes and layered mark-making, I seek a sense of lyricism, movement, and
emotional resonance within the work. Some paintings begin with plein air studies or
reference photographs, while others unfold intuitively through experimentation. I allow
the paintings to evolve organically, responding to what emerges and refining areas that
feel most compelling until the work begins to tell its own story. I consider a painting
complete when it evokes a sense of wonder — when the elements resolve into a
dynamic and unified whole. Titles may arise during the process or after completion, and
I view them as an additional layer of meaning that invites the viewer into the work.
