Here was a concept for inspection of automotive airbag canisters. System had to be able to 100% ultrasonically inspect one canister every 15 seconds. Came up with this revolver-style system. System used a combination of phased array, paintbrush, and conventional probes. Unfortunately we lost the contract so guess I can show part of it. Not showing how we held the parts or unloaded them just in case we get another shot at one like this.

The mechanical scanner portion of the Table Top Immersion Tank is completed. There are two motorized axes (Horizontal and Rotation) that can be used to scan using either helical or raster scan profiles. A 4.50" diameter specimen is shown.
