Maintaining our advantage in the space domain requires who are ready to lead, think critically, and continuously sharpen their mindset. That's why I'm looking forward to this year's Space Force Conference, hosted in partnership with the Air Force Sergeants Association .
This conference is an opportunity to connect with fellow Guardians from across the force, learn from one another, and hear from leaders who are helping shape where we're headed. This year's focus on Foundations of Guardian Leadership and Developing the Warfighter reflects the skills and mindset our service needs to meet today's challenges and prepare for tomorrow's.
Talk with your local leadership about attending and investing in your development. I hope to see many of you there.

A tech CEO wouldn’t last 10 minutes in a tactical ops center. Here’s why civilian ‘leadership’ is failing our veterans.
Corporate management is about quarterly targets and shareholder comfort. Military leadership is about mission success and the lives of those you lead. In Silicon Valley, a 'mistake' is a drop in stock price. In a tactical ops center, a mistake is everything.
We need to stop pretending that managing a software team is the same as leading a platoon. Our veterans bring a level of grit, ethical clarity, and decisive action that a 'move fast and break things' culture simply can't replicate.
It’s time to value the discipline over the disruption. If you're a veteran entering the corporate world, don't just 'fit in.' Lead.

Every breakthrough starts with someone willing to step beyond what’s comfortable.
Whether you’re leading Airmen and Guardians, serving your community, building your career, or chasing a goal that seems just out of reach, growth requires courage. Failure isn’t the opposite of success; it’s often the path to it.
Be bold. Take the shot. Learn the lesson. Keep climbing.
Because the greatest achievements belong to those who were willing to try.
The hats here and there!
The hat for the planner,
The hat for the cheer,
The hat for the friend who says,
"You've got this, my dear!"
There's a hat for the volunteer,
The helper, the guide,
The one who keeps moving
When plans take a ride.
There's a hat for the parent,
The partner, the cook,
The one who somehow keeps track
Of every appointment and book.
Military spouses wear many hats...
sometimes all before noon.
But here's what we often forget:
Every hat represents leadership.
Every role requires strength.
Every season asks something of us.
Join us in August at the Ascent where we will share tools to strengthen military spouses leadership skills no matter which hat you wear.

Stop looking at the team.
Start looking in the mirror.
Leadership isn’t a title. It’s a standard.
You cannot command respect if you lack self-discipline.
You cannot guide a mission if you lose your own way.
The internal battle is the only one that matters first.
Master your habits. Master your mind. Master your mission.
Lead yourself. The world will follow.
