Roxbury High School Unveils First-Ever “Community Edition” T-Shirt Designed by Senior Mia Bacalhau

Roxbury High School is proud to introduce its first-ever “Community Edition” T-shirt, a unique design created by senior Mia Bacalhau that celebrates the spirit, pride, and connection that define the Roxbury community.

The concept for the shirt was developed by the Roxbury High School Sports Media class as a way to showcase what sports mean to the Roxbury community while highlighting the many people, organizations, and local landmarks that make Roxbury special.

More than just an athletic design, the shirt represents the broader Roxbury experience. The artwork proudly features nods to Roxbury athletics, the Roxbury High School Band, and beloved local businesses and community staples, including Cliff’s Homemade Ice Cream, Roxbury Diner, Beanbury Coffee House, Horseshoe Lake, and Roxbury Recreation.

“This shirt represents more than school spirit, it represents community pride,” said the Sports Media class. “We wanted to create something that brought together the places, programs, and traditions that make Roxbury feel like home.”

Special thanks go to Formula Printing and Formula Print Lab for bringing Mia’s vision to life and producing the inaugural run of the Community Edition shirt.

Proceeds from sales will benefit the Roxbury Varsity R Club and the Roxbury Athletics Hall of Fame, helping to continue the tradition of supporting and recognizing Roxbury student-athletes and athletic excellence.

The first-ever Roxbury Community Edition T-shirt is more than apparel, it is a celebration of the people, programs, and places that make Roxbury strong.
