I still believe that a band should rehearse. My musical heroes all do, they are much better than you and I.
Why should I procrastinate and not have a band rehearsal?
There are exceptions of course, if you are gigging 5-7 nights a week... that means your band has developed the chemistry between all the elements.
perfect practice makes perfect... in some cases, you can have magic occur with 3-4 different guys playing onstage for the first time...
guess what? they probably had a soundcheck, to at least test the waters.
I'm just saying, if the best singers, musicians and bands always rehearse... why shouldnt the rest of us?
This is my 50 yr old geek review of the day.
Yo, I was in college during the early 90s when the X-Men cartoons were happenin'. I even named my band Rogue, during that time. I bought/borrowed/stole and read comic books during the 80s and 90s.
So when the cartoons was on TV imagine how that impacted my hero's journey.
It was mostly or loosely based on the story arcs written and drawn by the greats... Jim Lee, Chris Clairemont, Romita, etc.
The narrative seems woke, but it was pretty idealistic.
Anyway, they got XMen 97 on D+ now and it continues from where ProfX was taken to another galaxy to heal up and left the X-Men to Magneto--this was in the comics too, one version led to a confrontation with the Avengers.
The storylines up with the comics too... madelyn pryor, storm losing her powers and the birth of Cable, the saviour who is gonna confront Apocalypse in the future.
So far the first two episodes of XM97 is pretty true to the spirit of the 90s... but we'll where it ends up
