Hawkins for FL Senate

By now many of you have probably heard the news about my arrest and the accusations against me.

First I would like to start by saying nothing I said over the course of my campaign was false. I do love my community and I am committed to improving it for the many people that live here and call this slice of paradise home. All of my criticisms of Florida and our government were accurate and backed by evidence. I did not con any voters.

I would only ask that I be given the opportunity to establish the facts of my case in court. An accurate account will be much different than what could be believed or assumed based on the reporting which has been given by law enforcement to the press.

I have recently stepped down from all of my public positions to deal with these legal matters.
I am forever grateful to all my friends, family and colleagues who have come to my defense and are standing by me in this critical moment.

Hello friends,

I wanted to take a moment to reach out and share what I've been up to over the past week. I've been winding down after an intense campaign season, getting back to the routines of a more normal life, while also starting to plan for the next four years. This campaign would never have been possible without each of you, and I am deeply grateful for everyone who helped make it a reality. To the volunteers who gave their time, to everyone I had the privilege of meeting along the way, to the other candidates and their teams, the Democratic clubs, and to everyone who helped spread the word about our cause—I truly couldn’t have done it without you.

With a bit more time, I believe we could have flipped this district. Yet even in coming up short, I am so grateful for the honor of representing you all and for the supporters who cast their vote in my favor. You’ve given me the energy to keep moving forward, and I’m here to tell you that this is not the end of my journey in politics. My commitment remains steadfast, and with the Treasure Coast Young Dems and other organizations, we’re already laying the groundwork to build a Democratic Party in Florida that can win. This isn’t the last you’ll hear from me, and it may not be the last time my name is on a ticket.

We’re in a time where nothing can be taken for granted, where every issue is a fight that needs our full strength. For now, I encourage everyone to rest, spend time with loved ones, and recharge through the holidays. But as we prepare for the next four years, know that a major fight lies ahead, and I’ll be there alongside you, ready to continue the work we started.
