📚🌞 The numbers are in—and the 2025 County Library System’s Summer Reading Program was a triumph!
Thanks to the incredible support from our donors, volunteers, community champions, and dedicated library staff we reached:
✅ 5,511 participants across 24 locations
✅ 3,763 completions—a 68% completion rate!
✅ 2,257,800 minutes of reading logged
✅ 25,039 books distributed to eager young readers
These aren’t just stats—they’re stories discovered, imaginations sparked, and futures brightened. Every minute read and every book given represents a child empowered by literacy and learning.
💙 From all of us at the Library Foundation of Martin County, Inc., thank you for making this summer unforgettable. Your generosity fuels our mission and helps build a stronger, smarter Martin County—one reader at a time.

Look who’s cashing in on summer reading—two prize books and a big smile!
Reading just 20 minutes a day can turn into amazing rewards. Here’s how:
✔️ 5 days = 1 FREE book
✔️ 10 days = 2nd FREE book
✔️ 20 days = 3rd FREE book
✔️ 30 days = Finale Party invite + FREE pass to Sailfish Splash Waterpark (while supplies last!)
✨ That’s right—read for 30 days and celebrate with a splash! Parents/guardians even get 20% off admission with the pass.
It’s not about minutes—it’s about making reading a daily habit. Log your days and keep the fun going all summer long! Martin County Library System

🐍Our Robert Morgade Library was buzzing with excitement as families gathered for an educational journey into Florida’s reptilian world! Tracy Boothby, Senior Wildlife Educator, Hobe Sound Nature Center held up a *very convincing* fake coral snake, helping kids and parents learn how to tell the difference between a harmless lookalike and the real deal. The hands-down favorite moment? Meeting the adorable baby alligator!

This program is made possible by a generous donation from Clare and Molly Tyler to The Library Foundation of Martin County, Inc. This endowment enhances all STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) events throughout the Martin County Library System with the hopes of inspiring the future generation to pursue excellence in one of the STEM fields.
