Stroud Swimming Pool

To Our Valued Pool Patrons and Community,

We wanted to take a moment to explain why we made the difficult decision to close the pool yesterday due to the weather.

The safety of our guests and staff is always our number one priority. Our weather safety policy requires that if we see lightning or hear thunder, we immediately check the weather radar. If lightning is detected within a 10-mile radius, we must clear the pool and deck area for a minimum of 30 minutes. If additional lightning is seen or thunder is heard during that waiting period, the 30-minute clock starts over.

Yesterday, after following these safety procedures, it became clear that by the time the required waiting period ended, it would have been nearly closing time. While we know this was disappointing, we felt it was the safest and most responsible decision.

Please know that we always do our very best to remain open whenever it is safe to do so. We understand that unexpected closures can be frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support. We truly appreciate our wonderful community and hope this doesn't keep you from coming back to enjoy the pool with us. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Swim Lesson Update:

Swim lessons will take place as scheduled this evening, Thursday, July 2.
Our third/make-up session will be Friday, July 3. The 6 & Up group will be at 10 a.m. The 4 & 5 class will be at 11 a.m.
