Meet Liz Herrera Knapp, MA, BCBA
✨ Founder | Advocate | Community Builder ✨

Liz founded KBCS Behavior Services with a clear purpose: to raise the standard of behavioral consultation while creating a professional home where clinicians can do meaningful work, grow as leaders, and maintain healthy boundaries in a demanding field. With 20 years of experience in behavior analysis, Liz has supported programs across schools, residential and day services, crisis stabilization environments, and multidisciplinary teams. Her work focuses on practical behavior analysis, building systems that work not just on paper, but in the real environments where staff and individuals live and work every day.

Equally important is Liz’s commitment to developing people. She mentors BCBAs and helps clinicians grow into confident leaders who think critically, advocate effectively, and support teams with both skill and humanity. She believes strong organizations are built by investing in people and is passionate about serving as a voice for providers.
Through KBCS, Liz has created an environment where clinicians can do high-level clinical work while building sustainable careers. Her leadership is grounded in mentorship, transparency, accountability, and trust. Today, Liz leads a growing team of BCBAs supporting children and adult programs throughout California.

When she’s not leading KBCS, you can find Liz:
👨‍👩‍👧 In her favorite role - wife, mom, team mom, room parent, PTO helper, and usually the one organizing something
✈️ Planning the next trip before the current one ends, with a Disneyland trip along the way
🍝 Finding the best local restaurants and trying delicious food
🍷 Exploring wine country and enjoying a great glass of wine
🎉 Community builder and event planner by nature
✨ Somehow always involved in one more committee than she planned

Liz leads KBCS with intention, integrity, and a belief that strong teams create strong outcomes. 💙
