I was reading a devotional about the fruit of the spirit. Your lifestyle is a silent witness, showing people what it means to have Christ in you is seen thru the fruit of the Spirit that you exhibit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are the fruit that shows we have The Holy Spirit working in our lives. These behaviors are not something that we can develop on our own. The Holy Spirit is working on our hard hearts, digging around, planting some seeds of the word that are growing and will eventually have a harvest of fruit. The Holy Spirit works on the heart, weeding out all bad behaviors and he’s replacing it with seeds of God’s word. The fruit of the spirit is in us but it is for other people. It shows the Christ in us and flows through us to others. Let the Holy Spirit change your heart of stone to a heart of flesh is some work and we have to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, by listening to and obey what He tells us to do. The end results are that God will get the glory out of our lives and God will be able to use us for His purpose here on earth. Change will not happen over night, just be patient……that is one of the fruit!
