We are looking for experienced Machine Operators to join all shifts in Columbus, OH! You will be responsible for operating machines and ensuring excellent quality control. Responsible for the assistants & packers to ensure the proper number of units are packed in each case. The ideal candidate will have at least 3yrs experience operating and setting up machinery.

Responsibilities:
Operate Vertical Form & Fill Machine
Each operator is considered the team leader of their machine. They are to be aware of the level of efficiency and quality of their packers’ output
Maintain daily production standards and thoroughly complete production reports as required
Ensure standard operating procedures are being followed throughout
Keep the shift and/or facility supervisor or (machine technician) if applicable, informed of any problems or potential problems regarding machinery, inventory, and/or personnel
Able to execute daily and weekly P.M’s
Check the units produced from the machine at the weigh station to ensure they are both the proper weights and dimension. Document this by completing the “Quality Control Report.”
Report any major problems to the shift and/or facility supervisor.
Ensure the machines are cleaned thoroughly at the end of each shift
Responsible for Preventive Maintenance

Qualifications:
Previous experience in operating and setting up machines
Familiarity with manufacturing plant tools and equipment
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Ability to handle physical workload
Ability to display leadership mentality with colleagues
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Shifts (Monday-Friday):
1st - 7am-3:30pm
2nd - 3pm-11:30pm
3rd - 11pm-7:30am

We are looking to hire production line workers for 2nd & 3rd shift in Columbus, OH! The Production Associates will safely handle, inspect and pack finished product into erected shipping container boxes to be sealed and processed to the Stacker or Robot for palletizing. Safely seal, palletize and transport finished goods pallets from the production line(s) and palletizing robot and load cartons and palletizer throughout the production operations.

Responsibilities in this area include:

Packer
· Prep boxes and prepare partitions for the product to be manufactured each day.

· Review Order sheet

· Pack the correct number of units in each case.

· Ensure that the proper code is being printed on the boxes by the inkjet printer (if required).

Stacker
· Quality control.

· Sealing boxes.

· Attention to detail.

· Palletizing

· Shrink wrapping.

· Ability to consistently lift to an average box weight of up to 50 lbs. all day, every day and keeping up with line flow.

· Keep the stacking area warehouse neat, orderly, and clean which includes daily sweeping. This duty will expand to other areas of the warehouse when time permits.

Shifts available (Mon-Fri):
2nd – 3pm-11:30pm
3rd - 11pm-7:30am

Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
Ability to read English to interpret and translate standard operating procedures.
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable state safety and environmental regulations.
Basic math and counting skills, must “Pass” verbal math test by reading questions out loud to show reading and comprehension ability as well as showing methods for solving word problems.
Ability to communicate effectively with people.
Shows willingness to be flexible and take on assignments that may be outside job requirements.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one (1) year of related experience (preferred) but not required.
Completion of “on-the-job” training may be substituted for educational and experience requirements.
Stand on your feet 8-10 hrs. a day

Job Summary:
The Assistant Machine Operator will safely operate, change over production equipment, and direct production line personnel to ensure the handling, inspection and packing finished product into erected shipping container boxes to be sealed and processed to the Stacker or Robot for palletizing.

Reporting Responsibilities:
Reports to the Production Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Indirect – Provide production-related direction to personnel working on assigned production lines.

Shift: Sun-Thurs 11pm-7:30am

Duties/Responsibilities:
A.Safety
Responsibilities in this area are to comply with safety rules and to report any unsafe conditions to the production supervisor immediately.
B.Quality
Ability to multi-task and perform the list of checks for product quality as defined by StandardOperating Procedure(s) (SOP).
Ability to accurately take counts, weights, and measures of the product per specification sheet.
Always check for flaws in the seals and bag and understands what the requirements of good seals are.
C.Productivity

1. Responsibilities in this area include:
a.Able to perform the position of Stacker and Packer at a high level.
Knows how to pack all types of products with proper counts and according to the SOP.
b.Can step up and monitor the machine to ensure the quality of the product is being maintained.
Can measure bag length and width and confirm it matches the specification sheet.
Understands the use of scale and can determine if the weight of the bag matches the tolerance on the specification sheet.
Can calculate bags per minute (BPM).
Knows what good end seals and back seals are.
Knows how to check seals to ensure they will not leak.
Knows if the print on the bag is centered and of correct quality.
Knows if inkjet print on the finished box matches up to product number and that the date and time is current. Must also verify print clarity.

2. Equipment
Can perform roll changes to the SOP
Knows how to identify problems in product or machine and knows how to shut the machine down and get help at a minimum.
Able to perform minor preventative maintenance on machines.
Able to perform minor troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on machines.

Ability to read English to interpret and translate standard operating procedures.
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Ability to think outside the box and be aware. For example, if parts are running low you must be able to trigger reorders.
Ability to communicate effectively with people.
Skills to manage time effectively with the many tasks throughout the day.
Shows willingness to be flexible and take on assignments that may be outside job requirements.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least two (2) years of related experience minimum.
Completion of “on-the-job” training may be substituted for education and experience requirements.
