What is 1 thing you would wish to be remembered by?

I oftentimes think, what will be my lasting memory?
Will people remember me by my possessions or the memories I created with them?

Will they say I valued materialism over friends?
Or will they say I made time and put an effort into nurturing an authentic relationship?

Oftentimes, the things that hardly matter end up consuming our thoughts and time the most.

Perhaps we need to reevaluate life from an ''after I'm gone'' place to gain perspective. The things we now give so much of our heart to hardly have value in comparison to getting to know people on a deeper, richer, more authentic level. Perhaps relationships is where true legacy is born.

In this rush of life, pausing to reassess where and what we pour our time and effort into can keep our thoughts focused on the goal of building a lasting legacy. A legacy that extends into eternity. A legacy for God's Kingdom.

P.S. many of you who follow my stories have seen our recent travels behind the scenes, but for those that aren't following or don't look at stories, I'll share a snippit of my stories here: a few weeks ago John and I took our 15 year wedding anniversary trip to

 @mayhurstestate

The backstory is: Whilst still living in NZ, Instagram's algorithm pushed a reel with this gorgeous historical estate. I saw the reel, loved the encouraging message in the caption that Casey shared, and so I clicked on the profile. I fell in love with her content as well as this gorgeous ' other world' home. I told John ''If you ever wish to give me a beautiful gift, take me to Mayhurst estate.'' When we moved here in July, it was impossible to celebrate our 15th right on the day. So He booked a surprise: a few nights at the Mayhurst built by President James Madison. We retreated to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains to spend quality time and relax. Highly recommend this phenomenal bed and breakfast.
