Our first field day is finished! We had a great meeting that showcased our Auto Feeder from Feedtech Feeding Systems. There was a lot of discussion about how the feeder works and situations it can be used in. We are excited about our new equipment! Our Feedtech Feeding Systems Auto Feeder is coming together nicely. Did you know that based on the labor savings alone (1 hour, twice daily), our feeder will pay for itself in the first year of operation!

This allows us to focus on higher-priority tasks like animal health, pasture management, etc. We also plan to put more lambs on feed this fall as well as be able to effectively supplement our ewe flock during critical times of the year.

We recently received our Haney testing results back from the latest round of soil testing. We were very excited to see the improvement in the pastures year over year despite not adding fertilizer or soil amendments. We'd love to hear from those also tracking their changes! Lamb spaghetti is good but with your own homegrown lamb, it’s even better! If anyone is interested in some fresh lamb products, we’ll have more this fall!
