Contemporary Photography

From a recent light painting project. My Central Wisconsin friends may recognize this location.

Fungi of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's been fairly dry there, so we had to go deep into the forest to find these. Some were lit by the sun, others with an iPhone flashlight—you use whatever light is available.

I taught my first class at the Texas School of Professional Photography in 1998. In the intervening years I've taught twelve more classes there, ranging from marketing to business to portraiture to portrait lighting and, for the past seven years, Light Painting.

It will be great to be a part of the 50th anniversary edition of TSPP next April.
