On Monday (5/8/23) SLEA held elections for next year's President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure, and board members. Congratulations to everyone who got elected! After, Carson Veath talked to the club about duck identification and what goes into hunting ducks such as bag limits, what licenses you need and how to find places to hunt. Thank you to the new club President Carson for talking to us!

On Monday (4/24/23) SLEA members met at the Stevens Point Police Department to meet Officer Ballew and K9 Barry, one of the two K9 units that are at the Department and to ask questions about what it takes to be a K9 handler such as the training required. Members also got a tour of the department including the auxiliary program which is currently hiring new staff! Thank you to everyone who showed up and thank you to the Stevens Point Police Department for giving us this great opportunity!

On Monday (3/27/23) Special Agent Cannon and Wildlife Officer Schelling of the US Fish and Wildlife Service came in and talked to us about USFWS Law Enforcement and the differences between the two jobs that they have. They also talked about the application process and what they look for when hiring such as prior Federal Law Enforcement experience. Thank you to both for taking the time to come in and talk to us!

On Monday 2/27/23, we had Police Officer Trevor Gatz and Sgt. Robert Schotzko come in and talk to the club about the West Bend Police Department and give some general information about how to apply, what they as a department are looking for, and a couple of various calls to service they have been on in the recent years. Thank you to both Trevor and Sgt. Schotzko for taking the time to come talk to us!
