Finally getting around to sharing the recordings from my guest artist recital at the 2025 UWSP Horn Fest! 📯 Nishimura’s Golden Hour is one of those pieces I reach for often not only for how beautiful it sounds but also its accessibility: The horn part is simple enough for younger students but poses fun rhythmic challenges, compound meters, and a variety of styles. Truly a grab-all for programming She’s also recently arranged the accompaniment for wind band and I was very proud to help fund that project as a consortium member!
