Travis W. Rogers - author
I hear a lot of men say it's not their place to tell a woman what to do when it comes to her baby, and I don't understand why. If a woman had a three-month-old and decided waking up at all hours to feed the baby, not getting enough sleep, and having to figure out childcare was just too exhausting and a giant burden she didn't want to go through, so she decided smothering her baby with a pillow was the right answer, would you say it's not your place as a man to try and prevent her from doing so? If human life is human life, I might argue protecting human life from being murdered is the highest calling of not just men but humanity in general. Saying "but it's not my place as a man" is just a nonsensical approach that society has conditioned men to take, and it, ironically, is the height of failing at manhood as protectors of the innocent.
