This heat isn't letting up, and neither is your AC!

Two more signs your system is asking for help:

1. Strange noises like grinding, squealing, or banging. Healthy systems run quiet. New sounds usually mean a part is loose, worn out, or about to fail.

2.Your energy bill jumped and nothing else changed. When an AC loses efficiency, it works harder to do the same job, and you pay for it every month.

If either one sounds familiar, don't wait for a breakdown on the hottest day of the year.

It's hot out there, and your AC is working overtime!

When a system runs this hard, small problems turn into big ones fast. Here are two signs it's time to give us a call:

Warm air coming from your vents. If the air blowing out isn't cold, your system could be low on refrigerant or dealing with a compressor issue. Either way, it won't fix itself.
Your AC runs constantly and never seems to shut off. A system that can't reach the set temperature is straining, and that means higher bills and a shorter lifespan.

Catch it early and it's a service call. Wait too long and it's a replacement.
Call the Integrity team and we'll get you cooled off!

Built a great new space… but can’t use it half the year?

We hear this all the time.

Garages, additions, sunrooms, finished attics, and bonus rooms often don’t heat and cool like the rest of the house. Most were never tied into the main HVAC system properly and in many cases, the existing system wasn’t sized to handle the extra space anyway.

That’s where a ductless mini split can make a big difference.

With a mini split, you get:

✅ Heating and cooling in one unit
✅ Its own thermostat for that specific space
✅ No major ductwork required
✅ A clean install with minimal disruption
✅ Better efficiency than relying on space heaters or window units

So whether it’s a garage gym, home office, sunroom, finished attic, or new addition, you don’t have to keep avoiding the room you already paid to build.

If you’ve got a space that’s too hot, too cold, or too expensive to use, let’s talk about whether a mini split is the right fit.

Serving Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County.

Running an Airbnb or VRBO in the Valley?

Your HVAC system is doing more than keeping guests comfortable it’s protecting your reviews.

That’s why ductless mini splits can be a smart fit for short-term rentals.

✅ Per-room comfort
Guests can cool the bedroom without freezing the whole house.

✅ Quiet operation
No loud system cycling that wakes light sleepers.

✅ Lower energy waste
Set unused spaces to “away” between stays instead of conditioning rooms nobody’s using.

✅ Great for add-on spaces
Converted basements, lofts, finished attics, and garage apartments can get their own comfort control without tying into the main system.

Comfortable guests leave better reviews. Better reviews help drive more bookings.

For short-term rental owners, HVAC isn’t just a home comfort issue it’s part of the business.

Why Some Rooms in Your House Never Get Comfortable

You know the room. Upstairs bedroom that feels like an attic in July. Bonus room over the garage nobody wants to sit in. Office that runs ten degrees off from the rest of the house no matter where you set the thermostat. Most folks just close the vents, add a fan, and live with it. But uneven temperatures usually mean something specific is going on, and most of it is fixable.

Here are the three causes we run into most around Staunton and Augusta County.

1. The AC is the wrong size for the house.
Bigger is not better. An oversized unit cools the air fast, shuts off, and never runs long enough to pull humidity out or push conditioned air to the far rooms. An undersized unit runs nonstop and still loses the fight on hot days. Both leave you with rooms that never catch up. Proper sizing is a calculation, not a guess, and a lot of older systems were never sized right to begin with.

2. The ductwork is working against you.
Even a perfectly sized unit can't fix bad ducts. Leaky joints, crushed flex runs, undersized returns, and decades of dust all rob airflow before it reaches the rooms farthest from the unit. If your system is fine but one wing of the house is always off, the ducts are usually the culprit.

3. You may not need ducts at all.
For additions, finished attics, sunrooms, and that one stubborn room, a ductless mini split is often the cleaner answer. It cools (and heats) a single zone independently, so you set that space to whatever's comfortable without overcooling the rest of the house or running new duct lines through finished walls. Zone control, lower energy waste, and no more thermostat tug-of-war.

The point is, you don't have to live with a house that fights you. The fix depends on which of these is actually happening, and that's what we figure out before we recommend anything.

Before you call for AC repair in Staunton, VA, check two things. One: is the thermostat set to COOL and below room temp? Two: is your air filter clogged? A dirty filter is the top reason an AC stops cooling. Still blowing warm? That's our cue. 540-447-7780
