One server. About $1,530 in F**A tip credit at 7.65% on the tips they report in a year, claimed on IRS Form 8846. Now multiply it by every server on your floor and every open year the 45B lookback reaches. That is how the restaurant tax credit on tips adds up to real money. Illustrative example. Illustrative example: 10 servers, about $20,000 in reported tips each, and the F**A tip credit comes to about $15,300 a year on Form 8846. That is the restaurant tax credit on tips most owners never claim. Like + Follow Build&Fund for the hidden-revenue tools every hospitality owner must be listening to. Leak #6 of 7: No Tax on Tips did not replace your F**A tip credit. They are two different things. No Tax on Tips is a deduction for your employees. The F**A tip credit is money back to you, the owner, because your servers' tips are still fully F**A taxed and you still paid 7.65% on every reported dollar. For an illustrative mid-size restaurant, that credit is still about $11,400 on IRS Form 8846. Illustrative example.

Leak #7 of 7 is the number behind every leak: $1,530 per server.
