This is a shocking and unexpected loss. I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Theresa Powell and her amazing team at Temple since 2016. She was kind, funny, authentic, humble, and highly lauded nationally by her Student Affairs peers. I learned so much from her and will deeply miss our conversations that always included a sly smile, little eye roll, and was accompanied by a, “oh Jennifer please” when we were discussing things in the world that didn’t make sense. She leaves a legacy of countless students who are achieving their dreams simply because she made them believe they could. Rest In Peace and prayers to all who are feeling her loss tonight.
